Well its been awhile since i have posted but i have dusted my mage off after a long hieatis.
My mage is a level 71 gnome on the alliance side that i used to raid alot with in BC and pre-bc.
I started out as a frost mage in pre-bc and then after i hit the level cap in BC i went to arcane, it was a lot of fun then. Well i am now trying a arcane fire spec that is really working out well for as a leveling mage, will have to let you know how it works out when i hit the level cap in WoTLK.
WARRIOR UPDATES
I was just reading about the new patch updates coming soon for the warriors and it seems that someone at Blizzard headquaters has finally heard our pleas for help.
BUBBLE POPPER
It seems that someone at Blizzard finally had to go against a ret pally, about time, 22000 damage in less than 5 seconds is a really hard pill to swallow so they have given us a "bubble popper" no more beat ya silly bubble heal finish you off, bubble and a warrior can now pop it so the pally has to finish fighting.
FINALLY A COMBAT CHARGE FOR ARMS
Blizzard has also heard our pleas for a in combat charge that will help alot! couple thi with the damage increases and we should be a viable class again as a arms warrior. I am not putting to much stock in Blizzard at this point since they have forgotten what the game used to be fun on many different scales. But i am hoping that dont do anything more to make classes so overpowered that every 14 year old out there rolls it and face rolls you to death with it.

A Noobs view of Linux
Hello all,
I just installed a new Linux distro call Ubuntu, 4 days ago and am ready to give some in site into it.
Ubuntus version of Linux has been gathering my attention for over a year now,my knowledge of Linux is minimum at most. In the past i have tried Mandrake 9.1 and Suse 8.0,while Suse was my favorite to try and learn of the two. Well 4 days ago i decided to give it another try, installed a second hdd into my system for the new os and off i went. The installation was a breeze, as easy as windows or maybe even a little easier, Ubuntu 8.10 is a very easy distro to install,it walks you through the whole process. Fifteen minutes later I was done and ready to start playing! Now in the past i always had a very hard time getting online and decent video out of any Linux distro cause of the way you had to know the CLI (command line interface),which i am still very low in knowledge of. Ubuntu recognized my hardware immediately. I thought hmm they have come along way, then i tried to install my nvidia video drivers which i was never able to accomplish in Suse 8.0,well let me tell you it not only found them for me it installed them correctly! I have to admit that the ease of use on this distro has me reconsidering the thought of Linux as a secondary os to just "play with" as i have been able to do almost everything in Ubuntu that i can do in Windows. With a little more education and finding the ability to play my games and i may just move to Ubuntu as my main os! I am really enjoying this version of Ubuntu, the ease of use and installation combined with the better compatibility has made this a truly enjoyable experience. Ubuntu can be downloaded for free at this link.

Tagan A+ El Diablo case review
Hello everyone,
Today i am gonna do my first review on a case i bought for my computer last February. That case is the Tagan A+ El Diablo. This case is extremely well made, has enough room to do anything you would like from multi processor boards to water cooling setups. This thing is big enough to live in if you had to! This is classified as a super case(bigger than a full tower) weighs almost 33lbs and moves enough air it to keep most reasonable overclocks cool. The front fan is a 250mm blue LED fan that pulls plenty of air into the case, add to that the space on the back of the case to put another 180mm fan on it and you have a pretty good air flow just from that but wait, the side cover also has a fan,if you can call a 360mm fan "a fan" its more like a propeller in my opinion! It is a tool-less case which makes adding drives and such a breeze. The case has 7 expansion slots so all your add in cards plus some are easy to get to and remove and add if the need arises. It also comes with 7 internal 5.25" slots that are all ease of use to add and remove. There is only possibly two drawbacks(i don't consider them drawbacks) 1: It does not come with a power supply, but it has enough room that you can add as big a psu as you can dare dream of. 2: At almost 33lbs it is most defiantly not a LAN box! The build it yourself crowd should love this case though, with all the possibilities it provides it cant be beat in my opinion! I bought mine ar Frys electronics in Carmel, while this isn't the cheapest case i have bought it is most surely the best case i have ever bought. So on your next build you should consider this wonderful product for a good start to your hot rod system.

New content patch looming for the ptrs
Hello all,
Well looks like blizzard is getting ready to go live on their public test realms with the new content patch. After only 3 months of the latest expansion pack being out blizzard is putting new content into the game and possibly fixing some things that have been making the rank and file hardcore raiders lay awake at night mumbling to themselves. While most will agree that WoTLK (Wrath of the Litch King) was a great success and a very well rounded expansion pack it did leave some of the more hardcore wanting more. Lets look at why this is shall we? In vanilla WoW and The Burning Crusade the end game content was very hard and was only doable for true raiding guilds, What that meant to the casual gamer and smaller friends guilds was, you could not do end game content, but you had a lot of options to keep you occupied for the most part. Pvp was more active and interesting in my opinion, but that changed with the latest expasion pack, the first true encounter in PvE was Naxxaramas(also known as Naxx),the 10 man version was being pugged pretty quickly( pug is a pick up group,in other words you could get 10 people that you didn't know and go do this) the 25 man version of Naxx was a little harder and took a month longer to get to were pugs could do it. Now casual gamers were ecstatic about being able to finally get to do end game content so quickly after hitting the level cap( which is now level 80) but this left the hardcore sect thinking that Blizzard forgot about them. Blizzard did in fact say they were moving toward this with this release but the next content patch was all about the hardcore guilds. Well it looks like it is getting closer to reality this week, all the big guilds are waiting to test the content out to see if it lives up to the hype. Now for the record my wife and I belong to a friends guild, we don't see much end game content so this will probably be one of those things that if we don't have friends in big guilds then we wont see much of the content, but I am ok with this, since we aren't considered true hardcore raiders(all though my wife may disagree that i am not hardcore lol) My personal belief is with the amount of time that a true hardcore raider puts in getting his stats just right i think it is only fair that Blizzard throw them a bone. Now on the other side of this patch is supposed to be some class fixes, as i posted earlier my favorite is the warrior class so i will cover what i know and have read for that. In this patch is a supposed fix for the arms spec which again as i posted earlier is my preferred spec, one thing that Blizzard has postedt it is looking to fix is the amount of damage that the arms spec does, in the recent past Blizzard has cut a lot of the damage the arms warrior does, buy reducing some of the major attacks they use. I have to admit that i haven't to this point read anything about them fixing the ability of the arms spec to be viable in PvP again but we can only hope. One of the things that i read was they are thinking of doing is increasing the damage from the "slam" ability, While this would be a great asset in a raid situatio, but doesn't do a thing for the PvP aspect of the game and like it or not arms spec is the preferred spec for PvP. The reason slam wont help in PvP is that you have to stand still, and trust me most players wont stand still while you pull a slam on them! I personally would like to see them increase damage on a few other abilities such as, mortal strike and execute since they are two of our main hits that do some burst damage. I very much would like some hardcore raid dps warriors and PvP warriors to post some reply's about what they think about the upcoming content patch and their play style and rotations, I am always up for learning new and better ways of playing my class!

Net Heads
Last Friday my wife and i had a meeting at a place i have been threatening to go to for quite awhile now.Net heads, let me tell you folks, this place is great!! not only is it a great place for kids cause of all the console games but they have 28 high powered PCs that can do just about anything you need or want them to do! The staff was what i always imagined a high dollar hotel to be like, they were knowledgeable, friendly, waited on us hand and foot!If you need a few hours away to just blast away on your favorite pc game or console game this is the place for you,now i know what your thinking and that's"why would i go there and spend money when i can do it at home"well let me tell you why!First they have all the games one could possibly want..and if they don't they will be glad to accomadate you with your software, second,in reality how many of us can call 5,11 or 15 friends and say hey come on over and we will own our compatition from my house? Not many if your like me,so all your clan or guild or just your frag buddies can go grab a burger and something to drink and blast away at your opposition. Also if your like me you have children...not just children but teenagers that like to do the same stuff,so take them they can do there thing and be happy as you are without them killing your bandwidth! But here is the best thing for us grown ups,its just not a shoot em up place, you can hold all your important meeting there as well as your presentations for clients! You can even make reservations for the spots and equipment you will need, thats is just the cats meow in my book,no more dragging 500lbs of equipment around in the family sedan for important presentations!Oh and the equipment they have is top rate!! Intel cpus, nvidia 9800gtx video cards 2 gigs memory hard drives with enough space that they load em to the gills without bogging them down and 24" lcd monitors!I was very impressed with Net Heads, their service was beyond anything i could have expected, equipment was top notch, location is good, and the place was so clean you had no fears of putting your elbows or anything else for that matter into someones old bubble gum. All i can say is KUDOS to Net Heads!!! I will be going back very soon!

World of Warcraft
Hello Everyone,
My name is Rusty,I am a 41 year old truck driver that refuses to grow up for the most part, one of my passions is computers, computers hardware and gaming on computers!!!One of my greatest passions(or addictions as my wife calls it) is World of Warcraft by Blizzard entertainment.I personally started playing in DEC. 2005 and have been hooked ever since, while i admit the game can make me madder then a dispatcher that thinks he knows trucking!I have played several different toons(as they are called in WoW lingo),My favorite by far is the warrior. My warrior has been a source of much fun over the past 3 years,i find it is versatile enough to keep you interested in a few different ways,1 you can be a tank for your guild or group if you need to,2 you can fill a DPS roll, and 3 you can pvp, now between the three you should be able to find something to keep yourself busy for a few hours,or years if your like me.My personal favorite is the so called pvp spec which is called arms,I have thoroughly enjoyed this spec for years now. There is several different plays styles you can do in this game, the two basic are pvp and pve(player versus player and player versus everything) my personal feelings are that the arms is very viable for both aspects of the game.Over the years of my addiction to this game i have had many hours of fun playing the arms spec in a pve enviroment. While i will admit that the arms spec may not net you the highest dps spot but it can prove to both rewarding and challenging enough to keep your interest while stil being viable for PvP play.Over the years i have alot of information on the warrior and will in future posts link some of the sites that i use for info on specs and gear and rotations once i get the ok from these sites. If you find this blog mildly interesting or entertaining please feel free to reply or post info you have to improve mine or anyones play style, that's one of the great things about World of Warcraft is that you never quit learning from the other players.
